WE MISS YOU
Hi everyone,
Just when we thought we were only going to be leaving you to clean your own homes for a couple of weeks in a snap lockdown, now, we honestly don’t know when we will be back, and we really miss you!!
All our teams are waiting so patiently at home counting the days to their return. We sure hope it is not too far away. We know how challenging it also can be for you, having to deal on multiple levels with juggling a household that has become the local school and your workplace. We feel for you and are thinking of you all. What a magnificent day it will be when we are out of lockdown again. BRING IT ON.
Hope you enjoy our little lockdown newsletters once again.
DID YOU KNOW?
As many as 51,000 trees per day would be required to replace the number of paper towels that are discarded every day around the world.
FACT:
- Paper towels are made from paper. However, they aren’t recyclable.
- They can’t be recycled due to the chemicals that they have been treated with, to make them sturdy and durable when wet.
- After use they are contaminated by the item you are cleaning.
SOLUTION:
Make the switch to microfibre cloths!!!
- You can use them multiple times.
- Microfibres reduce paper waste by literally tons every year.
- They are easy to wash – pop them in your washing machine and air dry.
- The Planet will love you for it.
SO WHICH DESERVES A PLACE IN YOUR KITCHEN – PAPER TOWEL OR MICROFIBRE CLOTHS???
Of course here at M&M Eco we use our Marjorie & May microfibre cloths. Our cloths can last up to four (4) years in your home – even with daily use!

DIY ROCK ART GIFT
Here’s an amazing idea for the kids to make Dad that extra special gift.
- Collect one or two rocks (be mindful not to remove too many rocks from nature).
- Prepare your rocks for painting. Use a vegetable brush and warm water to clean them. Dry them off.
- Paint – create a fun design or a message on your rock.
- Seal your rock with an eco-friendly sealer to protect your design.
- For extra fun – Why not hide your gift and play a game of hide and seek?
LOVE THIS TOP TIP
8 TIPS to reduce the dust in your home:
- Dust from top to bottom.
- Avoid dusters for dusting your home. Use microfibre cloths instead.
- Clean ceiling fans regularly, as they are easily forgotten.
- Vacuum your floors frequently, especially under furniture and behind hard-to-reach areas like fridges.
- Brush pets regularly – outside is best.
- Floor mats help reduce the amount of dust you bring into your home from your shoes.
- Dust lights, light fittings & shades – use a lint roller, or damp microfibre.
- Use a soft brush tool on your vacuum to clean curtains and blinds.
In the meantime, a silver lining to lockdowns is they allow me to get back to nature. To slow down, take a break and walk through the parklands and nature nearby with our two fur babies. I feel like I am transported to another world that is so beautiful, peaceful, and healing. I often pick up a gorgeous gum leaf or nuts or a feather and bring home to add to my nature art table. This is what keeps me sane and grateful during these uncertain times.
Happy Father’s Day to all those amazing Dads who are balancing life and supporting their families during these extra challenging times. We hope you find time to step into nature, with your family on your special day and just remember to breathe, laugh and love all the great things we can still enjoy and feel – even in lockdowns.
With Love and gratitude.
