How many trees does it take to wipe our butts?
27,000 thousand trees A DAY!
So why should we “give a crap” anyway?
There is plenty of toilet paper to go around right?
We all know for us to live as a species we need to breathe IN oxygen and breathe OUT carbon dioxide – CO2. Trees breathe in the CO2, clean it, and return it back to the air as oxygen. What a beautiful partnership!! Trees are the lungs of the planet!
Unfortunately, the rate we are dumping CO2 in the atmosphere is resulting in planet Earth choking and heating up. Her lungs and ability to “recycle” is faltering? So why would we destroy the very thing that naturally cleans up our atmosphere? This continued practice of deforestation is costing us our environment and a safe future of the planet for our children, our children’s children and their grandchildren.
Living with freedom, health and happiness should not be selfish. This must STOP.
I truly believe that we don’t consciously make choices that would harm the planet or us. We just do lots of things in our busy lives on ‘automatic’, like buy the same toilet paper every time we go to the supermarket. If we actually start to become more connected to our choices and understand and feel the ripple effect of that choice and how it impacts everything and everyone around us, I think this is when we start to make more conscious choices that leaves a much kinder footprint on the planet. Education of the impact of our choices is the key.
So back to our Butts!
What other choices can you make??
You can start choosing toilet paper made from post-consumer materials like books and papers. A toilet paper that ‘Gives and Crap’. At M&M Eco we love:
Today we are happy to introduce you to another of Tammie and Brian’s wonderful team, Mimie.
Hi, I’m Mimie.
I was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and have 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
My Dad was an army officer, and when I was 5yrs old, he passed away.
My Mum didn’t have enough financial support to take care of us, so my elder brother and sister stopped their studies early to help the family.
After graduating from high school, I became an Aviation Screening Officer at Singapore Changi Airport. As a supervisor the pay was acceptable, but the 8 years of working life in Singapore was very stressful and the cost of living was high. To cut living costs, I stayed at Johor and used to travel to Singapore every day. Due to heavy traffic it took me approximately 1.30-2hrs to reach my workplace. I was waking up at 3.30am to get to work for 6am and would not return home until 11pm.
In 2017, I contacted my Auntie’s daughter, Tammie, who lived in Australia and decided to live with her and have a better life.
I was then lucky enough to join the M&M Eco family in March 2018.
What do you love most about being in the M&M Eco family?
- Use of chemical-free products
- Professional presentation
- Training provided
- I love the operation managers because they treat the staff equally and care about our needs and safety.
My dream is to have a beautiful family and live in Australia with my Mum. I would like to have a small business of my own.
Thank you so much for letting us learn a little about your life Mimie.
As we continue to manoeuvre through the lockdown “roadmap”, we wish everyone the very best of health and look forward to seeing you all again soon.
With Love and gratitude.
